I want to welcome you to First Baptist Church Pinson’s website. It is a great honor to have you visit. Let me invite you to glance through our website and learn more about the ministry opportunities that are provided for people of all ages. Each ministry is designed to meet the needs of the church and its’ community. From fun events to practical life changing Bible study, there is a ministry designed just for you.
As a pastor, I have the privilege of teaching God’s Word with real life application. I believe that the Bible is the love letter of God to the people of the world. It holds the message of hope concerning Jesus Christ and God’s plan for all of us. God’s desire is to have a personal relationship with you. Either I or someone else would love to talk with you if you have any questions about your relationship with the Lord and eternity.
Let me encourage you to visit Sunday School at 9:15 AM this Sunday morning. You will have the opportunity to be a part of a class with people your age. No one will embarrass you, however, they will make you feel welcome as you listen to in-depth Bible study and enjoy great fellowship.

Job PostingThe Personnel Committee is now accepting applications for Custodian. This is a full time position. The job consists of general janitorial duties covering all church facilities. Applicant will need to be flexible with hours as some tasks may require late evenings or early mornings. We are also looking for a Receptionist/Publications Secretary. This position is part time and would include: answering and directing phone calls, preparing and publishing the weekly bulletin, prayer sheet and bi-weekly newsletter. Also, posting Sunday school weekly attendance and other miscellaneous other duties that could arise. Orbit to new heights as we launch out on our newest adventure: Space Quest! We will depart from the launch pad in "t minus...", well there is not an actual countdown here, but the dates for the exploration are June 25-29, 2012. We will explore the mission that Jesus has for us according to John 14:6 each day from 0830 - 1200 hours. Check out the children's page of our site for more information and ways that we can help our space explorers be successful in their upcoming quest.

Nassan Abraham, pastor of the 2000 member Daystar Cathedral in Uganda Africa will be our guest speaker of May 27, 2012.

Volunteers Needed
We need volunteers to be included in the rotation for the Price Sisters Care Team. This ministry would involve spending up to a half day for groceries and errand every month and a half, or so. This depends on the number of volunteers. We also need volunteers for the Price Sisters Maintenance Team. This would include lawn maintenance and trash removal If you are interested and need more information, please see Brian Suttles, Hoyt Sanders or Jeanette McGahey.
